National President's Travels—India and Pakistan 2005

In December 2005 the National President of the TS in Australia, Linda Oliveira, accompanied by the President of the Indo-Pacific Federation of the TS, Pedro Oliveira, visited Karachi, Pakistan, and Mumbai and Chennai, India. Pedro Oliveira also visited Colombo, Sri Lanka. Both conducted seminars and gave talks, to TS members as well as the public. In Karachi they were guests at the Annual Meeting of the Theosophical Order of Service, which was attended by over 500 people, including many children and their parents.

In Mumbai they conducted training sessions for TS members on public speaking, preparing a talk, publicity work and group facilitation. In Chennai, they attended the International Convention at Adyar, the international headquarters of the world wide Theosophical Society, at which both gave short talks. The theme of the Convention was 'Are we alive to the truths of Theosophy?'
